IEP Advocacy Services for Families

Our IEP (Individualized Education Program) advocacy services are designed to support families in navigating the special education process, ensuring that students receive the services and accommodations they need to thrive. These services include:

1. Guidance Through the IEP Process:

• Assisting families in understanding their rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

• Explaining the components of an IEP, including goals, accommodations, and related services.

• Preparing families for IEP meetings, including reviewing documentation and drafting parent concerns or requests.

2. Meeting Representation and Support:

• Attending IEP meetings with families to provide support and advocacy.

• Ensuring the IEP team considers the child’s unique needs and complies with legal requirements.

• Facilitating productive communication between parents and school staff to foster collaboration.

3. Document Review and Development:

• Reviewing educational records, evaluations, and past IEPs to identify gaps or inconsistencies.

• Providing feedback on draft IEPs to ensure they reflect appropriate goals, accommodations, and services.

• Helping families draft letters or formal requests to the school district.

4. Collaboration with Experts:

• Coordinating with specialists such as therapists, psychologists, or medical professionals to incorporate their input into the IEP.

• Ensuring that recommendations are clearly articulated and included in the IEP when appropriate.

5. Training and Empowerment:
